this is a cool. it reminds me of this one fountain somewhere... with gold horses. i don't remember where it is. my mumsie saw it. she also took a picture.
The count is still alive and very active living in high style in Barrie Ontario. I met him last week about some repair work to one of his friezes. The "Quest" was made from the largest piece of marble ever mined from Greece and took 200 oxen to pull out of the quarry. His adventures as a young man during the war as a 15 year old "expendable" Austrian fighter pilot and then ending up as General Patton's interpreter make great reading.
